Just imagine that out here in the middle of the Archipelago, it’s possible to produce such a good brew!
Departure: 10am from the Gothenburg harbor and return to the harbor 6pm.
Today we head out to the beautiful southern archipelago and the island ‘Styrsö’. We will pass by a seal colony on our way through the islands in the area of Brännö cruising gently through the reknowned ‘snobbrännen’ (or the ‘snobbs channel’). From the boat you will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery and hear stories of the history surrounding the area. The rocks and islets of the archipelago are all around us and stretching out to the west is the open sea between Sweden and Denmark. We will drop anchor in one of the beautiful bays to enjoy a relaxing lunch and perhaps a refreshing dip.
When we feel replenished we will cast anchor again and head on towards Öckerö, the largest island is this part of the archipelago. Embarking on the eastern side of the island, right by the harbor jetty, it’s time for the Hönö brewery. The owner, Mats Hansson and his wonderful personnel will host us here for a couple of hours during which we will follow the brewing process and taste the beers.
Closely following the channels, we will head back to Gothenburg harbor.
We will guide you throughout the tour and the dinghy is available for your use. The food is prepared onboard with ingredients from local pantries.
